Does any of this sound familiar?
- I just realized my cell phone is in the pocket of the jeans I just threw in the washing machine!
- That latte didn't taste so good after I spilled in on my cell phone!
- I listen to my cell phone while working out, even on a sweaty treadmill session.
- My baby was chewing on my cell phone and now it won't work!
- I normally charge my cell phone in the bathroom where it's really humid.
Water or moisture is the enemy of every cell phone or smart phone. Many times your cell phone can show signs of Water Damage even if it's never been dunked! You may not realize that cell phones are extremely sensitive to any water, liquid, sweat or humidity and over time it can short out the connections of the electronics causing it to malfunction. The Intensive Care Unit at Southern Wireless has seen it all and know exactly what the next step is in cell phone restoration. The sooner they can look at the cell phone the better chances are for a positive outcome.
As soon as you get any liquid on your cellular phone, immediately remove the battery and bring it in to Southern Wireless for cleaning. Resist the urge to put the battery back in or to plug the cell phone into the charger to see if it still works. With the start of Water Damage the clock is ticking on a successful repair or retention of your precious data such as phone book, pictures, videos etc... that are stored in the cell phone.
Do NOT under any circumstances put the battery back in the cell phone or plug it into the charger.
It is not uncommon for a cell phone that has been exposed to water or liquid to work for a short time. Re-powering by inserting the battery or placing in the charger can actually burn out connections on the various circuit board inside your cell phone. This type of additional damage is usually permanent.
Because of the nature of Water or Liquid Damaged Cell or Smart Phones, Southern Wireless can not guarantee the length of time your phone will continue to work properly but quickly bringing in the cell phone to the Intensive Care Unit will increase your chances.
